rubber elasticity

Rubber can be divided into natural rubber, general rubber, Styrene-butadiene, nitrile rubber, silicone rubber, polybutadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, Ethylene propylene rubber, neoprene several categories. They are widely used in all aspects of industry or life.

Natural rubber is a tree sap made from the rubber trees of tropical countries. The synthetic rubber is a synthetic chemical. Both are polymers with good elasticity. This is because the rubber molecule contains five carbon atoms and eight hydrogen atoms, which form chains with each other. And because the molecules are moving at such a high speed, the molecules in motion are always pushing against each other, so the polymer chains that form rubber can not be in a straight line, but must be curly, and many molecules will be entangled with each other, it’s like an irregular ball of yarn. If you pull on it hard, the coiled chain can be stretched a little bit, and when the pull is removed, it retracts back into its original shape, so the rubber is elastic.
